  • Gulf sponsored "NBC NEWS SPECIAL REPORTS" for over a decade (who could forget the Gulf logo right in front of the desk where Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, John Chancellor and Frank McGee sat? Or their sponsor lead-ins, "We'll continue our special coverage after this word...from Gulf").
