...Sod off ya fud

you are a kind of suck
-
well, it requires skill to hit both sides, as someone else pointed out. Thats pretty much it, if you're gonna be playing a long show, and you want to use this, its definatly gonna put less strain on your wrist.

it kind of sucks that it wont work with electronic drums
-
I could not see myself using this. However, if I did see someone using it and creating something musical, I would have no objection. Is that not the aim, to create music?

Neat stick - I'm going to do a video with my Slapstick soon!

The stick for the lazy!

This guys a really good drummer. I don't know about this invention... Nothing wrong with his playing, he's obviously better then most people on youtube..
-
your better off learning how to get that speed without the use of this stpid invention. you can get the same speed and rhythms if you practice enough... your better off without this.

To think this requires no skill and is cheating seems illogical. You obviously need to develop control to balance strikes on both sides of the cymbals and adapt to the sense of playing this style while maintaining patterns with the other hands and feet. While this particular tool might or might not last, innovation should always be welcome in the creative and artistic community. Give him credit for being creative.
that stick has so many flaws it's not even funny. how would u do doubles/paradiddles on the snares and toms if u have that annoying thing on top of the stick? this invention is only for people who are too lazy to try achieve that speed through hard work. any experienced/prof. drummer would say that the slapstik is useless garbage.

Although the Slapstik is concidered cheating by some, it is endorced by several professional drummers.

Have you used these on any recordings? How many people have accused you of overdubbing hi-hats? ;-)
I'm always on the look out for new drum toys...are these available in stores?

Their brand new, but are already being used in the studio - you can definitely play things only previously possible on a drum machine. You can buy them and see more video at www.theslapstik(-dot-com)
