  • What are the substances in Evian that caused the high conductivity?

    In runoff from Appalachian streams near mountintop removal mines, one of the big areas of concern is Selenium, which is a highly toxic substance - the same thing that killed 21 polo ponies in Florida in 2009.

    Other pollutants in mine runoff are heavy metals.
