In 1991, the City of Port Moody worked with POLARIS Employment Services Society to hire Lisa Culpo as an Office Assistant. Based in the Legislative Services office, Lisa performs work for several departments at Port Moody City Hall, including mail services, library shelving and sorting, document filing and general office work. There are a lot of different work duties, but Lisa is always up to the task.
Lisa's hard work has not gone unnoticed, and recently she was recognized by the City of Port Moody at a Council meeting for all her years of service.
Lisa plays an important role in the delivery of high quality services that citizens of Port Moody receive at City Hall. By focusing on ability, Lisa's employment with the City of Port Moody demonstrates what is possible when people with disabilities are given the chance to contribute in a meaningful way.
