@beyondthehorizon99 It seems t me that these competitions were engineered to make the poor and disenfranchised feel like worthless pieces of shit:(

The Intel Science competition is such an inspiration. There are many different kinds of national competitions: the National Spelling Bee, The National Geographic Bee, Raytheon MathCounts Nationals.... All of them are incredible in their own way, but it in my personal opinion, this competition is a much bigger deal: you're not given a book of words or an atlas to memorize and look for patterns in, or problems or equations to solve, but you must choose your own problem to solve. Go Intel!

The students in these competitions make such amazing achievements at such a young age. It's great to see. I wish they got more attention to show other young students what is possible even at a young age.

Im 16 and im going to try to be in Intel but i doubt im going to win like her. =/ because shes just amazing.
