Lexan (Polycarbonate) VS .22 Airgun

Shooting .093 Polycarbonate with my Benjamin Discovery using 15.9 grain JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbos going approximately 870 feet per second. I shot some steel from a .50 cal ammo can afterwards. I did the old recording and standby switcharoo with both the Lexan and steel. You only missed one shot with the Lexan but with the steel you missed four, DERP. I shot some acrylic with a .177 break barrel a couple years ago and it punched right through. Lexan would be a great choice for a lens protector, like for getting close up shots of brass ejecting in high speed. It scratches easier than acrylic, but it's pretty cheap. PS: I don't recommend shooting lexan, it is a SURE way to get a ricochet. The first shot came straight back.

I'm amazed at how much that dented the steel, that is one heck of a powerful air gun. I've been thinking about doing a shooting test like this comparing different airgun calibers vs polycarbonate, so thanks for the heads up on the ricochets, I'll have to watch out for that. Very cool video

@FuzzyDicePimp I angled the lexan down and of to the side so they would ricochet away from me. I don't know how you could shoot the stuff straight on without having a setup to fire the gun remotely.

@TysonCarson1 Yes there are quite a few more powerful ones out there. Air Force Condor comes to mind.
