Thanks for the useful tips. I'm a video director and I think the points you highlighted are worth stressing. I once had a client tell me that the interviewee must look at the lens... they should let the pros do what they do best!
Hey Digital Juice - as always great tips. But I have one more: I prefer to use low back chairs, so the subject's shoulders have greater separation from the background especially when lit with a backlight - and of course, the chair shouldn't swivel back and forth. I see Chuck was using a high back chair - I would view that as a last resort only type of thing.
