I think mine isn't working exactly as yours. I've built it the same, but my lava flow is off, its not keeping pace and overflowing fast enough, it seems like the top inlet isn't getting submerged in time to take in any lava.
Not sure exactly what the problem is but I could use some advice.

@krisu0100 Thanks, I just finished mine, I'm already at 2 platinum :D
Does anyone have an explanation for why there are two inlets and one outlet on the lava side, but only one inlet and two outlets on the water side? Why does it work this way?

@d00kiebird I'd suggest that you play with it, try taking away the top inlet pump, you can see how this changes the flow of the lava. Fully submerged inlet pumps (all 4 of its blocks have liquid on them) will suck up more liquid than is actually there. The reason for having one inlet at the top and one at the bottom is so that not too much lava is removed from the bottom, keeping it submerged and thus duplicating liquid. As for the water side, I believe it still works with only one outlet pump.

Does this require refilling every once in a while?

@cybereden I've tested it for well over 2000 obsidian straight, and concluded that it never needs refilling, but who knows, maybe it will stop making obsidian for a second or two after 9000!

why using 2 1sec timers? why not just using one?

@worm929 I didn't know that you could do that, I'll try it out some time! :)
