His soul was better than all else with a sweet kind of a cadance that lets us look down the road. He was So underated and I was as guilty of it too, early on in my life and if was HE was on speed or not still DAMN good. The Beatles should have got him in the band when Paul and George Harrison were at LOGGER HEADS and John Lennon said to GH well maybe we'll get Eric Clapton as the replacement though I have always thought that AL was a lot like GH. Back in the day we all felt that Alvin had to be on speed to play as fast as he did. He was fast & they were loud. Checkout their "Undead" album to hear them at their early best.
