@Luubelaar This was her fault. Not the vault height... This was correct

The second one was beautiful :)

thats so sad. they spend their whole lives to get here and then they screw up.

@xXthinkxthinXx - you beat me too it ! crikey.....it sure was! and not just on vault !!!! she was powerful but defo needed someone to tell her to try and clean up the form (this is where the artistry has disappeared from gymnastics IMO)

Didn't any of the commentators (or coaches or officials) ever clue into the fact that the world's most consistent vaulter's were repeatedly coming up short here? The measuring was absurd enough, but the fact that an athlete, several routines into the round, had to physically go and point it out to people made it that much worse. IMO, the entire AA competition should have been scratched and re-started from the beginning.

@Luubelaar: Yes, the officials in Sydney caused one of the biggest disasters/travesties in Olympic history with their inability to use a tape measure (and ruining four years of hard work for the gymnasts). That is undeniable. However, as an American who has been to Sydney a few times, I must say that you have one of the greatest cities in the world. Sydney just emits this "cool, laid back" vibe that I can't quite describe. So don't worry about it my friend ;)
The Sydney games were just embarrassing - we get the chance to host the games and then we make the monumental screw-up of making the vault too low. I really felt for these ladies. It wasn't their fault.
