Wii Music: Music Box Carmen

The handbells reminded me a little of the sound of those old music boxes, so I did this version of Carmen. The percussion part serves two purposes: providing the "winding up" sounds at the start, and allowing me to perform the parts at slow speed for more precise control over the timing and play it back at full speed.

That's a lot like the one I did, except that I had a beatboxer and DJ for "percussion". The rhythm on your harmony part is different than the one I did, though -- I went with the part the game gave me.

How'd you get the guiro to reliably play the stroke sound? I haven't figured out how to make it behave like the real thing.

There's always a pattern to the short and long scrapes in the güiro rhythm. I tried different rhythms until I got one that consistently did the long scrapes -- the first beat of each of the three bars before the intro section starts.

I think you need to Add the Toy Piano on Harmany. It's also added to a Music Box.
