We made it to the top and are waiting for a ride back down because there was no way in Colorado Springs we were gonna hike back down too! That would be a marathon!
If you started at the bottom of Barr Trail in Manitou, that's a 14 mile hike to the top! A 7000 ft. elevation gain. Something to be proud of... I made the round trip about 13 years ago with a 60 pound backpack. I left most of my gear at Barr Camp during the second day and just used a hip pack to top the summit and returned to camp. The last day I went down with a slightly lighter pack because of the lack of food. It was a religious experience! Thanks for sharing your footage.
