Shannon's Build-A-Bear Party

Gayle Froio who lost her 6-year-old daughter Shannon to cancer in February 2007 has continued to battle against the disease with both her new job as a Clinical Research Assistant in Pediatric Oncology at Upstate Hospital and by raising funds for families dealing with childhood cancer through the Shannon Froio Foundation she established with her husband. Her latest charitable effort was to organize an event at Build-A-Bear in Carousel Center on Sunday morning, Nov. 4th, 2007 where more than 30 children with cancer were able to assemble and outfit their own bear, an activity that Shannon had loved very much.
