@philyfree hmmm....but in general it is also easier for example to play a hybrid out of the rough, because it has that wider sole, thus also allowing you to shape the ball better...but yeah, i agree with you that it is a little easier for pros to shape them, especially when the have to hook or slice their ball out of different situations....cheers
@maxpf When a ball is in a bad lie which is a lot of the time the smaller sleeker blades have easier access to the ball and in return allows you to contact the ball properly to shape it. A really forgiving iron head would just rip up the turf. Just my view
I've had a 24 handicap and went to get fitted and it turned out the slim mp58 was the Iron I hit best. I had x22 callaways and it was like hitting the ball with a blunt shovel. The mp58's have improved my confidence and took me down to a 16 handi. They are so sleek to look down at and offer me great forgiveness. Having said that I dont use the 3 or 4 iron as I have hybrids. Sometimes the club aimed at beginners turn out to be wrong for them. The mp's give me feedback on miss hits so i improve.
@btownsmostwanted If i was to give a high handicapper a blade they wouldnt make good contact with the ball or get the ball in the air. If I give a pro a super forgiving club they couldnt shape their shots.
I've hit them both and you might be surprised at the forgiveness in the blade like MP-58!! MPs forged in Japan and assembled in USA--AP-2 China all the way! Bought the Mizunos, better club for me!!
