This is a video from one of the Bloopers specials aired on ABC America hosted by longtime producer and host Dick Clark featuring a not-so-steady television camera during a news update broadcast on ABC Australia.

This update was broadcast from ABN-2 (ABC New South Wales) and the newsreader is Angela Pearman. Thanks to Brett632h for the aforementioned info.

  • This was ABC News NSW and the newsreader is Angela Pearman.

  • Thanks mate.

It seems that that Bloopers special even altered the ABC News theme to make sure it didn't sound one little bit like the theme that the ABC had been using in Australia for 18 years.

  • In response to theultrablue, ABC in Australia is not a commercial tv channel. It runs on government funding and doesn't have any advertising on it except for other tv shows also on the ABC. It would make no sense to have any ties with the American ABC when they are completely different things. I think only channel seven has the same music as an American news show, and the theme is way better than the US one anyway.

  • theultrablue.

  • @NewsAustralia Don't see why, the ABC Australia news theme is nothing like the US one, and they were probably already breaching copyright by using the footage anyway.

  • @Jezza46 They probably had to change the theme so they didn't breach copyright.

  • I think they didn't mention that it was from Australia because the viewers wouldn't get it.

  • I remember seeing this years ago on Channel 7 I think, which was airing the same bloopers special. Bloody hilarious!
