A look at the Lake Mead side of Hoover Dam and the white ring that stretches around the mountains surrounding the lake. The water level is about 47 feet below normal, but close to 100 feet below the highest ever, which caused the spillways to be used in 1983.
They (realistic Civil Engineers) say it will take 20 years of above normal rainfall to re-fill Hoover Dam...and no one is predicting that will ever happen. So, it looks like it will be dry hole very soon.
