  • Its not "Papa Key Bay" but the island Papeete. Not a big deal but just wanted to tell you.

  • Thanks for the heads up.

  • What tuning are you using here?

  • I'm using a Drop D tuning, although now I've switched over to dadgad and I like it alot better.

  • Very nice Bud.

  • Holy crap! Watch out, copyright holders might try to get you banned like they did Fretkiller.

  • you have a darn good voice, i lost my falsetta from to much smoking!//enough about me///you're good! congratulations!

  • @UriahNash First of all, phenomenal cover! In addition to Papeete, there are some sailing terms at the beginning that sound a little off. It's 'sailing a reach, before a following sea.' For most boats, sailing a reach (the wind perpendicular to the boat's direction) is the fastest heading, and 'a following sea' means the waves are heading the same direction as the boat (so the boat isn't crashing into waves)... it sounded like you sang "sailing real reach, for the following sea' -- cheers

  • Wow! You are a very good singer and guitar player.

  • @explorer648 I agree - as an aside, I saw "the southern cross for the first time" in my life last month in Australia. I thought of this video rendition of the song as I looked at the stars. Thanks for the experience!

  • Beautiful! This is in my top 5 songs of all time (actually #2) and you performed it beautifully...

  • I'd like to see you play it in DADAG, as I am familure with that tuning.

  • Nice work dude! I like that you did a D tuning. Inventive.

  • Great song! Great Video! Great singer! Nice high notes! Are you playing in a band. You really should!!! thanks so much for posting. It made my day! keep up the good work and keep singing. Carl Herod music teacher
