I can't believe that dipshit thinks this stuff is fake! It looks like someone has never watched the History Channel. Oh, and a side note for AlphaChickenShit, the gun used at the beginning of the video was an "Atmoic Cannon" and it was named "Atomic Annie". You should Google it sometime when your not busy playing your XBox.

what are you talking about? Everything in this video is 100% real , unless i missed something , wich i dont think i did...

All these films are real tests. But there are a couple of comments:
The ship pics and the flying dummy were of Operation Sailor Hat which was conventional explosives simulating nukes, in Hawaii.
There are some fillers, like the pic of the sun's surface, the horrifying nuclear plant pic, and so on.

@alphachicken: No. First part was the official films produced by the Air Force of Operation Grable, 1953.
-
@highradamiel: No. Had Vanya (USSR's codename for the Tsar) been used instead of FatMan, all of Nagasaki would have been obliterated, right up the mountain sides, but they wouldn't have known of it in Tokyo, 582 miles away. You rather over-estimate things. Seeing as how Vanya itself didn't noticeably damage the atmosphere, why would blowing it in Japan have done that?
-
@TheErikWulf: No, it's quite real, and it might have fired A nuke, as shown in the clip. That was the only such gun-fired nuke ever tested, and obviously none were ever fired in combat.
-
@MrWillard69 Just stop talking, it wasn't fake you moron.

It Wasn't Fake. In Fact One Of The Cannons, Nicknamed Atomic Annie, Is Here In Junction City Kansas. And Yes It Fired Nukes. Its NOT Fake

4:13 those ships were blown up on purpose so they could see how well a war ship could hold against a bomb like that. they still were floating, but were crucially damaged. 4:29 was the clip of a dummy on one of those ships.

Atomic weaponry seem small in comparison to what asteroids and the likes are capable of.
A small body with a 150 meter diameter could potentially cause major devastation when it strikes at vulnerable locations like cities and fault lines. Off shore strikes could create mega tsunamis.
A hydrogen bomb release anything from 5 to 70 megatons of energy, largest being the Tsar bomb. An asteroid could release anything from nill to 1 billion megatons depending largely on speed and size.
