Playing Outside the Box

Sound ExChange is an orchestra comprised of students at the Eastman School of Music, as well as a handful of musicians from other schools at the University of Rochester. Their mission is to go into the community and find innovative ways to bring classical music to new audiences while educating their listeners about the music. The orchestra's first concert took place at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and featured works by Rossini, Brahms, and Beethoven.
