I think he's trying to come off as apathetic, as if he doesn't really mean anything that he's singing...Or you could be right, and he's just not taking it seriously. It's up for interpretation; I think most of this band's image is about apathy, how they could care less about women and what they do. Maybe reading a bit too far into it, but the music's good nonetheless.
