Sengoku - Neo Geo MVS (arcade) - Long Play (Cyriades - 1P; Grimslade - 2P) - Part 2 of 5. We attempt to show basic strategies that could be used to finish Sengoku as quickly as possible. This is the first game in the classic Sengoku series of video games, developed by SNK (now known as SNK Playmore). This great beatemup series was also ported to the Neo Geo CD and Neo Geo AES home systems. Sengoku, an excellent, side scrolling brawler had great graphics and sound for its time, showing off the Neo Geo's hardware. Also, Sengoku has unique stage and character designs, as well as high quality music and challenging, addictive gameplay. In the course of the game, the player gains access to various characters that may be summoned, as well as different powerups and weapons.

This video was recorded via PC capture device from a unibios modded Neo Geo 1 slot MVS PCB (which is hooked up to a supergun, allowing to be connected to TVs, etc). The unibios adds region switching, a music player, cheat codes, and more.

  • I totally loved this game as a kid! I wished to God I had it right now! I loved the whole morphing capabilities and the side-scrolling fight techniques. I remember while my grandma did laundry at the local laundrymat I'd go to the local grocery store and wail on this bad boy! Thank you for posting shincyriades! :-)

  • I remember playing this game at a Pizza Hut back in the day in 1991-1992. Fun game. Pretty much how I remember it. Brings back memories!

  • Thanks for posting this. I played the hell out of it when I was younger. I love the bruce lee style sound effect when you hit someone
