The MVCJO was honored to present a Birthday Tribute Concert celebrating the music of the great Maynard Ferguson as a fund raiser for the award winning Snider H.S. music department. The Snider Wiind Machine Jazz Ensemble opened the show with Maynard's Cruisin' for a Bluesin', Maria, and Give It One. A GREAT H.S. band with some good soloists too ...under the direction of Kevin Klee!

Maynard was always a great friend, inspiration, mentor, and also very involved with music education throughout his career. It is an honor to continue this tradition with a concert celebrating his May 4th birthday.
