John Adams was a strong advocate of supporting freedom of ALL religious sects, particularly he supported the enforcement of the rights for Jews to practice their religion, and also demonstrated disgust for Christian intolerance....Certainly the founding fathers saw merit in Christian virtue...but they also despised government which endorsed one religious sect over another...which was also why the heavily emphasized separation, they acknowledged virtue of the bible, not necessarily divinity

Great job! Thanks for sharing.

it's not a christian nation but was founded by christians who chose to give freedom of religion lest they fall like britain.

there are over 200 people who can be called "Founding Fathers" White and Black. Anti Religionist, can only produce 5 or maybe 6 who they always claim. Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, etc. But even Thomas Jefferson, who everyone claims was a deist, said in a letter "I am a christian". I believe he knew more about himself than some History Revisionist who hates God

response to cpmondello : Lets see what the Democrats have done for civil rights. - Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Democrat icon and orchestrator of Japanese Internment
- Ex-House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, former affiliate of a St. Louis area racist group
- Ex-Senate President Pro Tempore Robert Byrd, former Ku Klux Klansman known for making bigoted slurs on national television

@cpmondello haha, conservatives never helped? who do you think was in power when slaves were freed? Who was in power when segregation began? Woodrow Wilson was the president who segregated the military. He fired all but one black person that worked in the white house. He separated the water fountains and bathrooms, whites had one and blacks had one. Woodrow Wilson was a racist and DEMOCRAT. Look at my next post to see what the Liberal party (Democrat) did for civil rights.

@exposetruthwolf I can't agree with you more, brother. People are so brainwashed into this liberal communist mindset and that will bring America's downfall

@cpmondello What are you talking about? Liberal Communism has helped the world? Get over yourself with your antichrist hate talk you damn left wing commie

Only the elimination of all conservative Christians will allow all Americans to be free and the world to no longer have to live in fear of the U.S.A.'s imperialist, terrorist holy war. The conservative ideology has never helped mankind in any way, it has not only never helped mankind in anyway, it has oppressed, murdered, raped and killed all those in it's way to gain power. History shows us this. Fact shows us this.

Lmao. Yes of course the founding fathers were religous. That does not make it a Christain nation. How can it be one if we dont have centralized religon in the government?

@Kayakofan66 How do you define what a nation is?
Hunterkirk 1 year ago
@Hunterkirk
My defination is a group of people who have a shared culture and ethnicity and shared laws with in legal boundries (legal as in where the borders start and end) . And the laws obviously come from the Government that either Represents the people or dont represent the people .
Kayakofan66 1 year ago
@Kayakofan66 Then by your definition this is a Christian Nation. The vast majority of the American people are Christians thus "shared culture and ethnicity" standard is met. Clearly we share our laws and the laws were put in place at the representation of the Population of whom the vast majority are Christian.

The founders were concerned about State Religions (defined as A Religion that the State requires you to be a member if you are a citizen). The protestant movement (a clearly Christian Movement) was the beliefs reflected of the Founding Fathers. Protestants largely agreed that free practice of religion was needed and for that to happen a National Religion would not work.

BUT here is where you get it wrong. They never suggested that Religion should not influence government policies or that religion should no be allowed a presence in the public forum.
