BANKERS FOR DODD GOODSPEED OPERA HOUSE JUNE 28, 2009

THE FRIENDS OF CHRIS DODD hosted a hastily organized fundraiser for the white-haired icon of Connecticut politics at the Goodspeed Opera House located in Mr. Dodds home town of East Haddam.

Sunday afternoon, June 28, between performances of the musical, 42nd Street, Connecticut bankers and other friends of Dodd brought their checkbooks and pens to contribute to the senators campaign chest.

Directly across the street from the famous theater, another group of friends, but not of Mr. Dodd, made their presence known. The Dump Dodd campaign, a ragtag assembly of grass roots activists, brought attention to Mr. Dodd as they gathered a crowd of over two dozen supporters. Dump Dodders prefer to mock Mr. Dodd and often employ satire to get their point across.

At one point a passionate Dodd loyalist bounded over to confront the Dodd opposition. This reporter deemed his performance unsuitable to post on this web site. It is sad that sometimes the most highly educated people stoop to such depravity in defense of a lost cause!

As you see with the Dodd friends interviewed, they are treated with respect and their comments are unedited. Whatever your political leanings, we appreciate the right to be heard.

There were many people from Haddam and East Haddam in the group of patriots across the street. The tone of the protest was fun and mocking. When they were gone, they were gone.

Last I looked, this is a free country and people are free to cross a bridge.

I admit the entertainment was not as good as in Goodspeed, but yet again, we were not charging admission.

Freedom of speech is free!!

Actually the G8 protest fights are staged by the government. People just want to protest, then the police injects cops dressed up as anarchists and the fight begins. the DNC in Denver in 2008 was staged by undercover police, the 2007 SPP summit in Quebec had provocateur police and eventually shut down all protest. These are just two examples and are the ones where authorities actually got caught red-handed. How many more were staged but not caught - that's a good question.Nothing is as it seems

I am not for screaming or blocking traffic.

. If they held a protest and it got out of control then i am against that.

As for the G8. People that protest the G8 are generally anarchist and radicals, not liberals or democrats. And once again I am against violence.

To finish up what I was asking will you also denounce the Far Leftist moverment when they go to Pitts. Pa in Sept during the G8 summite and start to distroy stores , windows and loot stores plus put people that only want to go to work Mod as well or will you keep ur mouth shut like most of you Demcractics Liberial does.
