I thought it might be fun to take a stab at one of my favorite Crosby and Nash tunes from their 1976 "Whistling down the Wire" album. A song written by Graham Nash.
I hope you like it!

You finally found someone to watch the sunset with
You finally found a girl that makes you shine
And all you ever wanted was for her to be by your side
I hope you take the time to understand me now
If I say some things you might not like to hear
But it's only me and how I feel about you
You are my friend
Watching over all the years I've known you now
You've been looking through the glass at shooting stars
And all you ever wanted was for them to see
Who they are, it's not "so far"
So forgive me if I ever disappointed you
And said some things you might not like to hear
But it's only me and how I feel about you
You are my friend

  • BTW, is that a Roland Juno G keyboard?

  • @MsRoseCarmel Yes it is a Juno G. I got it used on ebay for $600.00. I recorded all the parts to this song on the on board digital recorder (16 midi channels and 4 audio channels). It's an amazing instrument! Thanks for watching!

  • @jrsn2cars We hear that it's great also. It allows you to directly plug in your guitar and use the onboard effects of the keyboard? Did you run your vocals through it to?

  • @MsRoseCarmel I plug my acoustic guitar directly into the Juno G. You can then add some reverb and/or chorus to the guitar with the onboard effects. For the electric guitar I first run it through my Digitech RP2000 effects pedal and then into the Juno G. For vocals I found that plugging directly into the Juno G doesn't have a very strong signal so a mic mixer/preamp is a big help there. For this recording I ran my mic through an old '70s realistic mixer and it worked great!

    Cheap fun!

  • @allengoodman69 I love the slide too Allen! Someday I'll learn to play it! LOL This is a rather obscure song that hasn't been posted on YT as the original or a cover. I'm glad you like it and I sure appreciate your encouragement!

  • @buniluvr Thanks a lot Julie! I just love the chord progression on this song. Graham Nash has such a lighthearted song writing style. You can hear The Hollies in his songs. Thanks so much for your kind comment!
