Gears of War 2 Epic/Microsoft True Skill Fail

Epic and Microsoft, two great companies, brought us Gears of War. Fans of the game are very thankful for that. With the release of Gears of War 2 some fans are going back to Gears 1. Why? One huge reason is the TruSkill ranking system. The following video is a prime example of cheating to rank up. Share in my frustration as our team gets yet another loss on our record and we remain the same rank because of gamers like the ones on display. Epic....Microsoft...You guys can fix this. Figure it out or get rid of the TruSkill ranking system. The video you are watching does not display TruSkill but a lack thereof. My favorite hobby is making me sick along with the vast majority of gamers playing Gears of War 2! Lastly, iwould like to say that this all could have been averted if gamers playing the game for the last 2 years would have been chosen as part of a Beta test to give feedback on the positives and negatives of Gears of War 2.

I just think you were in a game where you got lagswitched. BUt yeah the skill levels are fail - Match making? more like Crotch Making, or even better Crap making.

This doesn't happen anymore. if you lag switch in-game now--you wont be able to pull host for 24 hours. And even this might have changed, but that is supposedly the way things are now. I am not holding my breath for Gears 3. They officially announced dedicated servers for GOW3, but again--I'm not holding my breath.

well at least in gears 3 there will be dedicated servers so the host BS doesn't happen

In halo reach they have still got true skill but it's only used in arena matches... hopefully GOW3 will do something like that coz in GOW2 and Halo 3 it really annoyed me how i was like a level 10/Gunnery Seargant and I was always being matched against top level people...

i agree fully with you. the lag and skill system is going to kill their franchise. epic and microsoft needs to fix it.

@adumoo i don't think it's noob at all to use a chainsaw. i think if the person was stupid enough to let someone get close enough to use their chainsaw, then you your self DESERVED to be chainsawed, noob. =)
