The d90 and d5000 are both amazing camera. They both have ups and downs. I chose a d5000 because it was so much cheaper, then i put the rest of the money into lenses. Also, the d5000 screen is very helpful when shooting down low or above crowds. It really is just up to you, and whether or not the extra features of the d90 are worth it.
Yes, it does. It will lean to the front if sat one its own. However, with my 18-55vr lens I can just set my lens cap under the lens body and it is fine.
You're really funny ;D D5000 sucks when being compared to D90. But not for those, who think that cell phone with 8mpx is much better than Nikon D40 for example.
Yeah, a joke. What's the point of it, besides for taking shitty self portaits. Only slightly useful in live view, but then again that's another stupid feature.
@hunnadcas 35mm f1.8 if im nt mistaken.

well the D5000 is a great camera for its lighweight and compact size, it takes the same pics as the D90 and it has a way more friendly interface.

the d90 video wobbles if used without a tripod? Does this apply to d5000?

Pfff...ignorant! The D5000 use the same sensor as D90, so it's the same pixel count. The D90 is, however, the higher end camera.
