Adressing your points. If you look at his ammo eves and tonics throughout it's always the same. He never has a lot of anything. This is a simple matter of looking.
Next, if you've played the game you'd know it's a REGULAR Bouncer, not an elite. He upgraded his crossbow shotgun and grenade launcher with extra damage. Finally he switched to his plasmids after firing the gun then back to fire faster.
Turrets don't fire on Big Daddies, and there are look and pressure triggers he avoided.
