I was 13 when this came out. I said to my friend at the time 'I can't imagine this getting old, one day we'll look back and it'll be 20 years old or something (I was an odd 13 yr old!)'. Well, I'm 31 now and I can tell you, time flies in a blink of an eye. Oh yeah, this song will be 20 years old next year. Haha!

I'm listening to this in 1861. I'm a soldier in the Union army, and am writing this comment under candlelight from my campsite in the Virginia countryside. My regiment is expected to make our first rebel encounter tomorrow at a place known as Bull Run, or as the locals like to call it, "Manassas". This song shall be my battle theme. Expecting to pull off a huge victory.
