Hi, I am deciding to buy either A33 or A55. Really confused. Is there any major difference in terms of image quality/color depth. or any other major difference. The price difference is $100. Thanks in advance for your time

@tvirdiTube if you can find the A55 at just $100 more, i would go with that. It offers faster fps (10 vs 7) and slightly higher megapixel count (16 over 14). Not factors that will affect the image quality, just an added bonus for just $100.

@coolindro007 the Sony A33 and Nikon D3100 very closely matched in terms of high ISO performance. My recommend would be to head down to a camera store to compare the two side-by-side. This gives you the final impression of weight, ergonomics, button layout, etc. Hope that helps.

I love this review. I want to buy my first dslr. For me the video is important. What would you suggest? I have a few in mind ... Canon 5100, Eos 600d or the Sony A33. What would you suggest? I am a beginner so it is very hard for me to make the right decision.
