How rude! I know exactly how Derren does EVERY SINGLE one of his tricks. He's a mentalist, a magician, an illusionist. Do you really think he predicted the lottery numbers? Do you really think he can read people's minds in his audiences? He can't, and he even says he can't! And at the end of the lottery show he said 'it's just a trick.' Which is what it is!! If you don't believe me, go join the magic circle - get to know people in the industry. They will all say the same as me.

Its pretty simple, he builds a rapport with the subject and then anchors the thought of forgetfulness with the swooping hand gesture, (NLP swish technique)He then has freedom to use this gesture when he wants the subject to forget because the hand gesture has programed the subjects unconcious mind. Check out NLP sites they're cool! also quick induction hyonosis!
