Note the lead guitar guy with the red shirt and what looks like a Stratocaster, totally faking it. The solo starting at 3.05 is John Farrar, and yes, like other Shadows played Stratocasters. You can hear the second phrase of the solo at 3:14 is double-tracked, watch the hands of the red shirted guy and the editing is so fast to cover it up.

Actually Olivia is British. She was born in Cambridge and is half Welsh. She was raised in Australia but is actually British.
