Boris Karloff is Baron Victor von Frankenstein in this 1958 version. Using atomic energy and his servant's brain, he builds a wrapped-up creature that looks like a mummy with a garbage can on its head. See Boris massage a human heart and accidentally drop a glass jar containing a pair of eyeballs!

  • @RJRanke Ah, that explains it. Thanks.

  • @gaIIery

They set it in 1970 because the story was built around a 200th Anniversary tribute. The original Frankenstein Monster was brought to life on November 2nd,1770.(At least that's what the People's Almanac said.)

  • Pull da string!

  • This was the best and most under rated Frankenstein film. I used Dr. Frankenstein's amazing sililoguy to win a speech competition when I was in high school, so many, many years ago. I really wish I had a copy of that text today.

  • Eyeballs in the fridge!! This just went to #1 on my Netflix queue!

  • this horror film historian saw this in 2958. its s classic a gem one of a kind, karloff hammy but effective and that monster and look at the cast. its not bad at all. we need more horror gens like this. i have it on dvd its still great rerunning it over & over. . fine film on all accounts. take it as ut is, it will like all films be around long after we are all gone. sorry but so true. FRANKENSTEIN 1970 is go getter. hats off to everyone watch and enjoy.TOMK

  • Could never figure out why they decided to set it in 1970, yet everything looked as it did in 1958, the year it was shot.
