{This Video is old and my engine Looks have now changed-Feel free to comment and Ask Questions}This is my 1999 Pontiac Grand am SE With a Short ram/ Cold air Intake, I am Modifying it by taking the chrome pipeing and putting it into the fender-well and right up against the air filter(K&N). Too much moisture and junk could hit it if I put it down there, not good for the engine if that stuff gets in it. I have seen all the stuff that flys up there...

  • Did ur check engine light come on

  • @ThePontiacZach Nope, Shoudn't come on at all.

Ask more if needed bud :P

  • Did you mount that directly on the MAF? If so what size of opening is the air filter? Im wanting to do this too so im just curious as to the size of the filter you have on there.

  • @XonionbreathX It is 3", so get 3" piping if you plan on doing a True cold air Intake.

Ask more if needed bud :P

  • I was wanting to get some advice on maybe doing this myself, I own a pretty quiet 1999 Pontiac grand am myself and im thinking about doing this myself, was it hard to do? And also what are afew things I should pay attention to while I'm doing the installation?

  • @WonderousLover Very simple to do, just make sure to plug everything back when you are done and dont forget your tools under the hood.

Ask more if needed bud :P

  • @BoxerMuscleMilk i did the same but left the lower box on and it sits in the box.!

  • hot air intake

  • @TacoItachi mass air flow sensor?sorry i'm new at this :P

  • @WonderousLover Its easy! just let the cone sit on the sun for awhile so the rubber/plastic/sliclion(the black stuff with 3" opening) can expand so it can be easy to put into the Mass air flow sensor
