I talked to a couple guys from Cornell and they were dumbfounded by our testing methods for our frontal impact attenuation. Apparently, they didn't get how dropping a flat gym weight from a pre-determined height to see how far it crushed the two-part expanding foam impact attenuator we used. I guess it wasn't up to Cornell's standards. We didn't have a huge budget like they did, so we made due.

As for the 2001 Cornell championship car being a piece of shit, compared to subsequent championship cars in 2002, 2004, or 2005, I'd have to agree...although I was always partial to the ARG01. You always remember your first, I guess.

Someone has too much time on their hands!
Cornell has had, on average, better overall cars than anyone over the last 10 years, that is undisputed. And the team members I've met give me no reason to hold a grudge against the team.
