  • Yes there was a converter for the X6800 (the Japanese PC you mentioned), a great system that had the best home versions of Capcom arcade games up until the PS1 - Saturn era.

There are also converters for the FM Towns (another less powerful system from the same time), and a whole host of other systems inc PC Engine shown here, but Im not sure if some of these are hacks or official:

  • @Crayfis Great info. I checked out your link and there are some awesome sticks there. I will need to put it in google translator later and read through some of the comments. Thanks!

  • Dude that is one hell of a stick, I also recognise that towel from previous videos, it's not your carpet is it?>!! Great choice of ballhead color. It's really nice to see an in depth review of this stick. I think the shape is a major winner, nicer than the usual wedge IMO.

  • @futurematt5 Yeah, I'm thrilled to have a quality arcade stick for my Genesis/MD now. I have been a bit of a snob when it comes to gaming on that system. Now I can stop the excuses and enjoy the wealth of arcade style games on the system.

The towel is actually an Ikea area rug. :D

The shape is pretty ergonomic. However, the stick is not angled properly (IMO) in relation to the over all design. This results in some unintended up/lefts. That is the only fault I can find.

  • I cannot believe more people haven't commented on this. This is an EXCELLENT over-view and a very cool look at a great peripheral. I have never got the Capcom stick back then because of expense. I settled for the Sega Branded sticks (which are not bad), but I think I would have been MUCH happier with this. I'd love to get 2 of these and play some SERIOUS Robotron with them. I'm assuming that at the time the Japanese had a LOT more arcade sticks on the market.?

  • @pocketmego Thanks!

  • I love these arcade Sticks! I have 2 complete models for the Mega Drive

  • the pink balltop does look nice with the yellow purple and green

  • Nice man! I definitely need to track one of these down someday.

  • I'd like to echo how great that balltop matches the color scheme. Fantastic look at an underappreciated stick, I'll be playing some TMNT:TF on my SNES version thanks to your video.

  • Great video as always wipeout, need to keep my eye out for one of these bad boys.

    Keep up the good work.
