I'm realizing that with working on losing weight some issues come up

  • I am just beginning my weightloss. its hard b/c im an emotional eater too. I eat b/c of what kind of day i had, boredom...etc. There are just foods that im addicted to. It seems like for the time that im eating the forbidden food, I feel good, but afterward i feel guilty.

  • I understand....emotinal eaters understand the ritual thinking of THE food where you eat it how you eat it how good you feel how bad you feel that awful cycle... I just started by clearing out my apartment of "The foods that get me high" ice cream, steak,cookies,cheese popcorn....then I would not eat fast food in the house. then I would bring my lunch and snacks to work and not bring money or credit cards to work. My morning walk and the nutritional foods I eat leave me feeling empowered, strong

  • i think its great that you addressing this alot of people are more concerned about the pluses and minuses on the scale and not the entire picture

    i personally find that i am more anxious when i dont indulge in negative coping mechanisms. i still have not quite found a way to deal with that but its a work in progress.

  • Thanks for commenting. I have always been overweight and have have always addressed this overweight part, but anxiety ,depression, and self destructive behavior are the true issues. I work on these daily being a healthy vegan has helped the anxiety and depression I'll do a more in depth video on this.

  • Hi! I try to keep my mind on the path I want to be on (and stay on) so I try to every day find some blogs or articles on positive thinking and positive quotes. Spending a specific amount of time first thing in the morning on this keeps me feeling emotionally high (most times!) enough to stay on track. There will always be a few down moments or days, but these tools help me cope with them.  Cheers :-)

  • food, drugs, sex, shopping, etc. We use these things to try to fill the bottomless pit that is depression. Instead of trying to just deal with overeating maybe we should deal with why we overeat, and that is the hardest thing ive had to deal with.
