This is a song I wrote back in 1977

In the dawn's early light, I can see it all so clear.
In the memories of my father's dreams,
Remind me that we're near
To the truth we hold inside us, not knowing what's ahead.
For the Bible speaks of a world more real
Than meets the eye, my friend.

Rise-up and shine my friend!
Who don't believe, is just a foolish man.

It's love that we're needing
Before twilight's last gleaming.

And soon, the time will be here,
The prophets again they say.
So look all around, and make your choice,
For no one knows what day.
The nations will fall, and crumble down,
And to all those who were scheming,
They'll miss the glow, and the beauty of
The twilight's last gleaming.

  • Amen! Great song man!!!

  • Awesome! Kind of reminds me of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in terms of style. The message is even more relevant today than it was in 1977. Thanks for sharing.
