In this interview from Monday Night Mayhem, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shoots on the WWE Creative Team and the current direction on the company. Interestingly enough, a slew of WWE writers were recently fired...could it be because of these comments. At the end of the interview Steve Austin gives props to the Monday Night Mayhem crew,

  • @PitBullRa19h666 Disagree on bringing back the Attitude Era. PG is not the problem. I don't know how long you've been a wrestling fan, but WWE was just fine in the "Golden" Era of the 80's and early 90's. It was PG back then too. The difference between 80's PG and today's PG is that today's wrestlers are more focused on the soap opera storyline BS. If WWE focused more on the match than the crap behind it, things wouldn't be nearly as bad as they are now.

  • The people who constantly bitch about the WWE being PG should watch this. Everyone forgot that the reason wwe is horrible is because of the creative team, instead people want to blame Cena. If Stone Cold (the guy who was the main star of attitude era) saids that PG has nothing to do with wwe being bad, then it has to be the guys behind the scenes. But everyone forgets that and blames one wrestler (John Cena).

  • Stone Cold confirms what most wrestling fans are feeling, these promo's are too fucking fake right now, that's why people loved the Punk promo, it finally felt real.

  • What needs to happen:

Tag Team Division - Make it relevant again.

Storyline - Make them last and make them believable.

Mid Carders - Need better promos and bigger pushes.

Divas Division - Let them develop characters and give them longer matches.

That's just a few things of a longer list that I think would improve the current product of the WWE.

  • Steve is right about everything he just said. PG is not the problem. And as far as bringing back the attitude era, how bout bringing back the Ruthless Agression era?? That era was just as great, it didnt have the complete craziness of Attitude but it focused more on the wrestling, something WWE needs back. RA Era was a combination of Attitude and a newer type of entertainment.

    Just what wrestling should be.

    Attitude.

    Entertainment.

  • @PinchinTheBear You sound like a stupid fool. 1996 I started watching wrestling I was 5 years old. Stone Cold and Mankind were my idols. And I thought Undertaker and Kane were cool. the Attitude Era wasn't at all over rated. Some of the best matches of all time happened during it. Rock vs Mankind, Stone Cold vs Bret Hart, Triple H vs Mankind. the Stone Cold vs Rock matches, Undertaker vs Shawn Micheals. WWE product now lame the matches are shit and the titles look shit.

  • @PinchinTheBear Dude all of us 90's kids LOVED the attitude era. I show my little brother old videos of the attitude era and he loves it. So I don't see your point at all.

  • Francis?

  • @dciguy01 Man, you took the words right out of my mouth....And Im sick and fucking tired of the "bring back the Attitude Era" crap...it was over-rated and all of you sound like a bunch of whiny ass ECW fans...The Attitude Era was 100 percent over-rated, yes it was great, but Im glad that wrestling is something that can be enjoyed by my kids now too....back in 1998 and 1999 all WWE was, was a watered down Paul Heyman rip-off..but WWE fans didnt know about ECW, or at least MOST of them..

  • Stone Cold is soo dead on about promos

  • PG is fine...the writing however is shitty...it can work but the wwe writers are fucking awful

  • the dislike bar is the size of Vince McMahons penis, sadly you cant see it :/
