This is Jayson's first V-8 build, which he sold in mid. 2007. I know he was asking $17,000; not sure what he got for it. The new owner's name is Bruce. I hear he's very happy with the car, and I think he had it up at Pocono Raceway a couple times.

Jayson is in the midst of gathering the parts for another V-8 build. He's got the car. It should be ready in a few months. . .

Here is a vid. of the car on the dyno:

We are all affiliated with the Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club:

Check out the site and the photo gallery. There are a lot of shots of the V-8 in the gallery taken as Jayson was working on the build. . .

I have never met Bruce, but he's a member of LVMOC's sister club: the Miata Mob. They are into driving fast, installing turbos, auto-x, and driving fast. Check out their site at:

  • @iceman3737 sounds like an uncontrollable death trap

  • @Ericjcrash mazda is part of ford

  • @slipknot1012003 im a ford guy all the way and used to own a 400whp fox. that being said, the 5.0 block is garbage, they are know to split at around 500hp.

  • @vlrussian thats not true i have over 400,000 miles on my mercury cougar and its never given me a single problem. my acura tl on the other hand has left me on the side of the road 2 times already im stickin with ford.

  • @coalandnuclear - Both were iron. GM didn't get rid of the Iron block until production of the LS1 in 1997 (Corvettes only) and 1998 (all other vehicles). However, the LS family of motors was produced in iron for the trucks. Ford got rid of the iron block in 1996 with their modular motors.

  • @Slipknotyk06 arent the lt1 aluminium blocks, and the 5.0 iron.

  • happy guy :)

  • @vlrussian because the 5.0 is the strongest motor designed by ford hands down.

  • @vlrussian No, actually, 'we' don't. This type of broad brush statement is typical of anecdotal thinking, and in your case, I use the word 'thinking' loosely. Do some digging and perhaps you can find some info about, say, sludge build-up in Toyotas. I'll continue enjoying my crummy American-built 27 mpg Magnum R/T.
