This is the dictionary picture of an 80s sports rock song. And Dire Straits were the dictionary picture of an 80s middle aged musical act. Not that there's anything wrong with either.

I miss the good ol' days. There was nothing like the mid 80's/90's, it was a magical time that could never happen again. Technology wasn't to a point that every person was constantly "plugged in" and awkward pauses could be smoothed over by "checking my cell phone texts". People had to communicate. If they didn't want to in person, they had to pick up a phone and call someone, and unless that person had fancy caller ID they had to guess at who it was. Music inspired everyone. :-(
