This winter, Millennium Park is transformed into a digital canvas of light and geometrical form with Luminous Field -- an interactive, site-specific video and sound installation by Chicago artists, Luftwerk. Every evening from February 10 - 20, 2012, Luminous Field illuminates Cloud Gate and its surrounding plaza with dramatic images and colors set to music. Free family programs, concerts, and dance performances complement the installation in an adjacent heated tent.

Came up from Cincinnati and and made this the last stop of our visit. Definitely an amazing note to end it on. And it was incredibly romantic and fun, so if you're watching this to see if you should take a sweetheart here for Valentine's day, you most definitely should. :)

Wow! People I know complain regularly about how "public" art is always ugly. Well, enough of that rot. The sculpture is a marvel and the work that these two and that Third Coast Percussion did to celebrate it and other iconic structures is breathtaking!
