@DoubleMannings Depends on the guitar. Typical cheap guitars just stay that way. A fine guitar by a master guitarrero, we would hope so and generally do. The more they are played, the better they will mature. Something about keeping the adhesives and the wood moving and therefore more pliable and responsive. But, there are exceptions, and we won't know till after maybe 5 - 10 years of playing the instrument.

@DoubleMannings if the wood is unfinished on the inside of the body which im sure it is because ive never seen an acoustic that wasnt i would guess yes. But this is pure speculation, my knowledge is limited, im just interested in it. But that is supposed to be the case with violins. The wood ages and gives a better tone i guess over time, for some reason or another. Mind you, im only guessing and going by what i have heard.

5k? are you kidding? a new basic concert guitar cost 5k. this is an 1890 Antonio De Torres.. It's in the 6 digit range easily. He was like the Stradivarius of Classical Guitar makers!
