In this segment of "A Chat with the President," Dr. Martha Saunders visits with Whitney Miller, the Southern Miss student who last year won the first-ever MasterChef competition of the Fox Network's reality show. The past few months have been a whirlwind of activity for Miller, from meeting some of the most famous names in chefdom, to judging pastry competitions to writing a cookbook. And, she's been taking classes to finish her degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. Miller is among the candidates for graduation this semester, and she's finished her cookbook filled with Southern-inspired recipes.
She talks with Dr. Saunders about her hopes and dreams for the future and how her competitive drive helped her capture the MasterChef title.
