So here's how it went; Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011, I finally got the chance to ask my best friend to my senior prom..Well, she's also my girlfriend, but she's been my best friend longer. This took me two to three weeks to plan, trying to get 15-25 people together, contacting them, telling them the plan, etc etc.

My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. I live in San Leandro while she lives in Pittsburg, about an hour drive; 41.47 miles. My friends and I took three cars, smashed on the freeway, and made it in time for afterschool. 12 people held a white rose and handed it to her, one by one, as I sang We Could Happen by AJ Rafael to her. As we reached the ending choruses, everyone I gathered together clapped and sang along, like in the music video to We Could Happen. I like to consider this a success(:

Thanks to everyone that helped, it REALLY means a lot to me!

  • @xSoulshout i meant im nNOT RACIST LOL

  • @xSoulshout ikr im not racist either BUT IN not aisian no offense i love yall eyes and hair lol but i have long hair too!

  • @xSoulshout I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything like that, I was just surprised.. I'm put under pressure by my parents to do well and I am one of the only American kids doing well in my class. I'm sorry for stating a fact so harsh and I should have known better but my parents tend to generalize about Asians, and I never thought it was right. To tell you the truth I'm overwhelmed because there is barely an American population at my school and they never have time to make friendships..

  • @Melina1Directioner So based on your "neighborhood," you've come to the conclusion that Asians have no fun? I'm sorry, but simply stating your experiences could count for every Asian on Earth is pretty racist to me. Personally, I stay focused on my school work too; in High School, I was a straight-A student. I know you meant well and I probably shouldn't have come off so strong, but assumptions like that irritate me. And if you must know, I'm from the Bay Area in California.
