Yeah but you really want a single coil on the bridge.
Split humbuckers, while expensive have probably been the best investment I made on my SG.

Just get something like a Strat HSS, with a humbucker and single coils. Best of both worlds, without the Gibson nametag/price

it sounds so much different played on a heavy sounding Gibson, than on the clean Fenders. I play an SG as well, and was thinking of buying a fender to play the surf stuff, but this video has almost changed my mind,
