  • I meant ..'I now love it.' It's so easy to make typo errors. The album cover being a case in point. Chris White's flatmate painted the design, and spelt odyssey wrong. For weeks no one noticed the mistake, but rather than change it, the band decided to go with it, and made up the connection that the songs were odes.

  • Loved this album for years, but this was my least favourite track. At the time Colin Blunstone also felt it didn't fit with the feel of the album too, and Chris White was encouraged to take the lead vocal for his own song. After seeing it performed at the Shepherds Bush anniversary gig I know love it. The subtitle (Western front 1914) is a typo that annoyed Chris, he meant it to be (Western front 1916) when the battles he mentions took place..Gommecourt, Thiepval, Mametz Wood and Vedun.
