It can be done even more quickly than that. After you highlight the audio, instead of going up to generate silence, do you see the button to the right of the trim tool that looks like a little audio wave, then has two vertical lines with a blank space in between, then another audio wave on the other side? That's the silence tool. Just click on that.
@AwesomeAnimeArtist Sorry to say but you failed its a skype call which recorded his voice on one track and the other guys voice on another. Notice bottom track is him talking and top is the other guy....
thats a lie. the dog bark was recorded AFTERWARDS. if he did it DURING the interview. it would be in the SAME track. not in another thus this is just an epic fail

shouldnt the dog barking be on both tracks?
because the barking dog on a different channel isnt a problem.
but if its stereo, shouldnt it affect the other channel as well?
