Good instructions. The woman who lived in my house before me put wallpaper on the ceiling in the kitchen & bathroom. What the HELL was she thinking???

That wallpaper was pretty though

I switched to a steamer and I can do 3 times the amount of wall paper in the time it takes using any kind of spray and let it sit method. OF course, I have a double layer of wallpaper so mine may just be harder. Either way... Try steaming.

I wish it was that easy at my house....our wallpaper is getting close to 100 years old and it's stuck on there like a second skin lol

@doctorairflow LOL, you said "nitwits".

so you recommend 25% fabric softner & 75% water or 50/50 on vinegar and water solution. Thanks for the tip.

@odmcarp Good advice...Hire a pro when taking it off and putting it up!

@corybaughman Well it is a bitch for those who aren't educated in how too apply and remove it. The upside is it does much more than a plain painted wall can in the decorating of homes.
wallpaper is a bitch

@wa1349 To continue: Once the surface is busted through, spray the surface lightly and allow the solution to do its work, which is to rewet the paste. Multiple light sprays are better than one heavy one.. When the paste has loosened, scrape it off - sometimes it will pull of in large sheets. An extremely sharp blade is NOT necessary - it can do damage if not held properly. Strip one or two strips at a time. Before the paste has dried, wash residue with teflon pad, like a grill scrub.
