Much like Ollie's Follies and Donkey Kong were for me, Henry's House was the Atari 800XL platformer of choice for my friend growing up. Owing to her disgust on learning that I hadn't played it, or even heard of it, I resolved to try it out. After much swearing, the result is a video of me (mostly) completing the first two levels; frankly, I gave up when the bloody toothbrush appeared. The game is fairly typical as 8-bit home computer platformers go, in ways that will seem alien to console gamers. Specifically, EVERYTHING KILLS YOU. I added a montage of comedy deaths at the end, so you can see Henry die when he WALKS INTO A WALL.
In spite of all that, the game looks nice, and Henry's animation is unusually detailed, so I probably would have loved it as a kid.
Great plataform game, btw in 3:08 you can jump from there to the exit, there is no problem at all! ;) Greetings from an old gamer here, I need to found a new switch box for my 130XE...

@1979starscream Ah, really? Man, it's not obvious at all! As it happened, I did manage to complete that level (And the rest of the game was much easier from then on) by going under the toothbrush; it was just a matter of getting the timing perfect!

Yeah, I did finish it in the end. But it goes back to the start! Damn you, mid-eighties gaming.

Nope, I never had this one! I'm sure I had a few that were similar to it, though.
